The faster she runs the more she stumbles,
She chases after some thing she believes is what she wants the most,
Everytime she falls
She gets back up
But she gets hurt everytime she hits the ground
As the rain pours down her back,
Her face in the mud,
The tears running down her face
Because she doesn't want to run anymore.
What is the point of chasing after something that doesn't want to be caught?
Maybe she is not chasing after something,
But instead she is running away from being alone,
She's running so fast to catch up with the one who left just moments before she did,
Her feet can not run as fast as her heart beats,
Or as fast as the tears run down her face.
She is no longer chasing after something,
She is running away,
From all of it.
